His teachings on dignity, equality, and the unbreakable bond between Africa and its diaspora inspired the Rastafarian movement. Selassie’s speeches and prayers shape the band’s lyrical themes of liberation, unity, and love. By lionizing His Majesty, Burning Fire Reggae Band links Richmond’s reggae resurgence to the wider Rastafari family, carrying forward an eternal flame of justice, faith, and African pride.​
